Death is an energy, and one that can be felt in many different ways as one goes through life. Death is not something Quiars experience, being an Immortal race. Not under typical, let alone most, circumstances. Ascensions may feel like a “small bit of death”, according to Eq’Losqi, but it is never so permanent like the death of things around them. Like their pets, non-immortal beings, even realms ebb and flow with “death”; even if it is not so literal. However, there was a time when many Quiars were dying, and this was a heavy experience for many of the people still alive to this day.
These Quiars found comfort in Eq’Losqi’s teachings - showing the other side of energies. The beginning and ending of things, how it all is reborn from there, and even help to find what is left behind. For Quiars who were not born during this time, they follow his teachings to feel a better rounding of energies; as Death also can show energies of the past and even previous lives that were lived. When they are connecting to Quiars who passed long ago (even if they have reincarnated) they can find the “Songs” left behind, because in the end it all returns to their Home Crystal. Singing these songs can be of comfort for those who lost others years ago, or for telling tales of far off places, even their former Home Realm. Because they are able to draw on these “dead” and past energies, they are also quite adept at past life work - even for Quiars this can be parts of themselves and their life before different degrees of Ascension.
Death, outside of it’s literal nature, is very nuanced for this group. It is not all bones and bodies. It can even be energy that must be allowed to pass, or allowed to flow so it no longer weighs on you. An Ending is only a Beginning; and they all have tasted a small bit of death in their life before. Others love to be scholars to help them document and read on past things, or even something akin to Bards. Each one has a different reason for learning this path outside of a casual want.
Some may have old bones of pets and whatnot, but not all. Outside of them telling you, or if one dresses in a way to show they have been taught by Eq’Losqi or other Ku’Xervesmal Teachers, it might not even be known if they are a Ku’Xervesmal Quiar.
All Custom Conjures must be allowed up to 4 months to complete, and contact is frequently kept with the Keeper during the process where needed. If there are any questions, the quickest form of contact is through the Discord or through sending me an email.
